This is a reminder to everyone that feeding wildlife anywhere on strata property is strictly prohibited. Feeding birds, squirrels, or other animals has recently led to a noticeable increase in pest activity around our buildings and common areas. Leftover birdseed, breadcrumbs, and pet food are major attractants for rodents (rats and mice), raccoons, and wasps.
Property Damage: Rodents and raccoons can chew through wiring, damage insulation, and nest in walls or attics, leading to costly repairs for the strata.
Health & Safety: An increase in pests poses sanitation and health risks to our residents and domestic pets.
Wildlife Welfare: Artificial feeding disrupts natural foraging habits and can make wildlife aggressive or dependent on human interaction.
To keep our community clean and pest-free, please adhere to the following guidelines:
No Outdoor Feeding: Do not leave food, seeds, or scraps on balconies, patios, or common lawns.
Manage Bird Feeders: If you have a bird feeder, please remove it. Seed drop is one of the primary causes of our current rodent issues.
Secure Your Garbage: Ensure all trash and compost bags are tightly sealed and placed entirely inside the designated bins. Never leave garbage bags beside the bins.
Feed Pets Indoors: Please do not leave pet food bowls outside on patios.
Note: Preventing pest infestations is a collective effort. Property management and pest control are actively working to address the current issues, but these measures will not be effective if a food source remains available.
